10 players who could join Arsenal this summer
Arsenal have assembled a spectacularly deep squad, thanks to ambitious and smart investment under Mikel Arteta.
After years of being the bridesmaid, the Gunners look finally set to end their Premier League title drought this season. This is as much down to Arteta's coaching as it is to the staggering quality of players he has at his disposal.
However, it is virtually impossible to build the perfect team in football, and Arsenal are not an exception to this rule. There are still areas in the squad that can be improved. If recent history has shown anything, Arteta will ruthlessly address these issues.
Below, FootballTransfers lists 10 players who could join Arsenal this summer...
Julian Alvarez (Atletico Madrid)
Perhaps the player who has been most persistently linked with the North London giants, Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez could be on the move this summer if he decides to push for a move.
Atleti don't want to sell the Argentina international, but Alvarez has reportedly grown frustrated with the club's inability to win major trophies, sparking rumours that he could be on his way back to the Premier League.
Christian Kofane (Bayer Leverkusen)
Another striker, Bayer Leverkusen youngster Christian Kofane has also been heavily associated with a move to Arsenal after starring against the club in the Champions League.
Though Kofane didn't score against the Gunners, he left club bosses impressed, and they duly opened talks with his camp, as confirmed by his agent. Leverkusen want around €60 million for the Cameroon international this summer.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (PSG)
Arsenal will most likely look to sign a new left-winger this summer, so it is only natural that a whole host of names have been mentioned as potential options for that position.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is something of a dream target for Arsenal in that position, but not all dreams come true, and it is likely that PSG will disappoint their London counterparts. The Parisians don't want to sell, so it would require something quite spectacular to sign "Kvaradona."
Anthony Gordon (Newcastle)
A more realistic target could be Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon, who has been on Arsenal's radar for quite some time. The Magpies also don't want to sell, but there is a belief that they could be forced to bite the bullet.
FootballTransfers has exclusively reported that Arsenal are expected to place a bid for the England international because Arteta wants more Three Lions stars in his side.
Rafael Leao (AC Milan)
AC Milan winger Rafael Leao is also facing an uncertain future, if reports are to be believed, as there is a growing sense that the Portugal international needs a change of scenery to get back to his best.
FootballTransfers reported in February that Arsenal have held preliminary talks with the representatives of Leao over a potential move. He is one of the names under consideration for the left wing.
Yan Diomande (RB Leipzig)
Yan Diomande will be one of Europe's most sought-after commodities this summer, following a quite spectacular debut season in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig.
The young Ivorian has had a €100m price tag slapped on his head by the Red Bulls, but Arsenal are nevertheless believed to be at the front of the queue for the Bundesliga sensation.
Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest)
Arsenal don't necessarily have an obvious need to sign another midfielder, but if a player like Elliot Anderson is on the market, you simply have to consider bringing him in.
Some reports have claimed that the Nottingham Forest star could cost well in excess of €100m, while others have stated that there are mechanisms in his contract that allow him to leave for significantly less. The latter will have certainly piqued Arsenal's interest.
Kennet Eichhorn (Hertha BSC)
Kennet Eichhorn is being scouted by virtually every top club around Europe, and this includes Arsenal. The teenager has been the biggest revelation in the 2. Bundesliga this season.
The Hertha BSC homegrown is expected to be on the move this summer - his release clause stands at a measly €10m-€12m - but Arsenal would have to wait until summer 2027 before they would be able to welcome him to the Emirates due to his age.
Victor Valdepenas (Real Madrid)
Arsenal have built an unassailable defensive bulwark with William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and David Raya, but that can't prevent Arteta and director Andrea Berta from thinking about the future.
One long-standing target for the Gunners is Real Madrid youngster Victor Valdepenas, who has been scouted since at least 2025. The versatile defender is likely to leave this summer and could be on his way to North London.
Jacobo Ramon (Como)
Another Real Madrid-linked player is Como defender Jacobo Ramon, who left Los Blancos for Serie A in the summer of 2025. He has been associated with a move to Arsenal as well.
However, signing him may not prove straightforward because Real Madrid are reportedly considering triggering their buy-back clause. Additionally, they have a 50% sell-on clause, so even if they don't bring him back, they would benefit from his next move, increasing his price.
