The 19-year-old has been heavily linked with a departure during the upcoming summer transfer window, although Leipzig are keen to agree a new contract with the talented teenager in order to ward off potential suitors.

It’s understood that a fee of at least €100 million will be required to secure Diomande’s signature this summer, with a bidding war expected to take place between numerous clubs following the 2026 World Cup.

Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with the former Leganes star in recent months, although Liverpool are widely considered to be the frontrunners for his signature amid their pursuit of a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah.

The Reds have earmarked Diomande as one of their primary targets for the upcoming summer window, but they could be set to miss out on a deal to Arsenal, according to CaughtOffside.

Arsenal want Yan Diomande

It’s reported that Diomande will only consider leaving Leipzig to join a club competing in the Champions League, which is where Liverpool could come unstuck.

The Reds are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table, which would be good enough to secure qualification for Europe’s elite club competition, but their recent form and pressure from Chelsea could see them miss out.

As a result, a deal for Diomande remains complicated, and Arsenal have reportedly reached out to his representatives in a bid to understand the logistics of a possible summer transfer.

Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli have both been linked with a Gunners exit in recent weeks, and the north London giants have added Diomande to their list of potential left winger signings as they look to bolster the attacking options available to Mikel Arteta.

FootballTransfers understands that Anthony Gordon (Newcastle United) and Rafael Leao (AC Milan) are also on Arsenal’s radar ahead of the summer window.
