Arsenal are among the clubs eager to sign Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall during the upcoming summer transfer window following his spectacular recent form at St James’ Park.

The England international, who is expected to be selected for the 2026 World Cup, has been one of the Magpies’ standout performers so far this season and he was recently dubbed as “the best in the world” by club captain Bruno Guimaraes.

Hall has started 19 of Newcastle’s last 21 matches in the Premier League, while he performed admirably against Lamine Yamal during their Champions League last-16 exit to Barcelona last month.

With Newcastle set to miss out on European football following a disappointing English top flight campaign, Hall has been heavily linked with an exit in recent months and CaughtOffside claim that Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid are all interested in signing him this summer.

However, Eddie Howe’s side have no intention of sanctioning a sale, with an “extraordinary offer” set to be required to finalise a deal ahead of next season. Hall still has three years remaining on his current contract at Newcastle and he is seen as a key part of the club’s long-term future by the hierarchy at St James’ Park.

Despite this, it’s reported that Arsenal and Chelsea are currently leading the race to sign Hall this summer.

The Englishman spent 11 years at Chelsea before joining Newcastle on an initial loan deal and the Blues are understood to be tracking his development amid the uncertain future of Marc Cucurella. However, Arsenal may be a slightly more realistic destination given his history at Stamford Bridge.

Lewis Hall to replace Myles Lewis-Skelly?

Arsenal already have three fantastic left-back options at Mikel Arteta’s disposal, but it has been widely reported that offers for fan favourite Myles Lewis-Skelly will be listened to this summer as the club look to balance the books via ‘pure profit’ sales.

The Gunners are expected to sign Piero Hincapie on a permanent deal following the end of his season-long loan move from Bayer Leverkusen and the presence of Riccardo Calafiori means they will be well-stocked even if Lewis-Skelly departs.

However, Calafiori has been linked with a return to Italy in recent months and the north London giants have now reportedly added Hall to their list of summer targets, which also includes fellow Newcastle stars Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali and Valentino Livramento.
