Chelsea want Eli Junior Kroupi

Chelsea are reportedly among a host of elite European clubs interested in signing Bournemouth wonderkid Eli Junior Kroupi this summer, having regularly sent scouts to watch him in action.

Bournemouth fought off immense competition to finalise a deal for Kroupi last year and they have now initiated talks over a “bumper new deal”, according to The Sun.

It’s claimed that Bournemouth believe Kroupi will become their first-ever €92 million (£80m) player and they are eager to agree renewed terms with the forward as Chelsea, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are all tracking his development.

Julian Alvarez makes Arsenal decision

Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez wants to join Barcelona this summer, despite significant transfer interest from Arsenal and Chelsea, as per TEAMtalk reporter Graeme Bailey.

Negotiations with Barcelona have already taken place ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, although a move to Barcelona is far from guaranteed and the Blaugrana’s transfer business is currently on hold until after the next presidential election takes place in mid-March.

Alvarez’s representatives have reportedly informed fellow suitors Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain that he favours a Camp Nou switch, although he is open to returning to the Premier League if a transfer to Barcelona fails to materialise.

Marcus Rashford update

Although reports have hinted that Marcus Rashford could return to Manchester United if Michael Carrick is appointed on a permanent basis this summer, The Sun have confirmed that a move back to Old Trafford remains unlikely.

It’s claimed that Carrick never considered recalling Rashford from his loan spell at Barcelona in January, while the interim boss is yet to think about any potential summer transfers as his current contract is due to expire at the end of the season.

In addition, the Man Utd hierarchy are currently focusing their attention on appointing a new permanent head coach and Rashford is therefore likely to be sold permanently during the upcoming summer window.

Chelsea and Man Utd battle for Gambia wonderkid

Chelsea are reportedly set to battle Man Utd for the signing of Tromso centre-back Sedi Kinteh.

The 19-year-old Gambia international has emerged as a top target for a number of European clubs following an eye-catching debut campaign at Tromso and both Chelsea and Man Utd are considering launching a formal approach this summer.

That is according to a report from The Daily Mail, who also state that Swiss Super League sides Basel and Young Boys are interested in signing the teenager before their transfer window shuts on 16 February.

Endrick latest

The agent of Olympique Lyon loanee Endrick has confirmed that he will return to Real Madrid following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.

Chelsea and Man Utd have both been linked with a move for the 19-year-old over the past few months, with the latter tipped to chase a loan deal during the winter window before being beaten to his signature by Lyon.

However, the Brazilian’s agent, Thiago Freitas, has now confirmed that his client will return to Real Madrid in July, although he refused to rule out a potential transfer before the start of next season.

Jose Mourinho to Celtic?

Celtic are reportedly considering appointing Jose Mourinho as their next permanent manager amid rumours he could leave Benfica this summer.

Mourinho has been heavily linked with replacing Roberto Martinez as the next Portugal manager, but he has also now emerged as a potential candidate for Celtic.

That is according to a shock report from SportsBoom, who claim that Mourinho has been earmarked as a possible alternative to top target Ange Postecoglou, who has been out of work since being sacked by Nottingham Forest in October.
