Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie is in talks with numerous clubs after being told that he will be allowed to move this month, according to a report.

The USMNT star's time in Turin is coming to an end. McKennie is out of contract in the summer, and it has been repeatedly reported in the Italian press that Juventus will not offer him a new deal.

This is despite the fact that McKennie has been a reliable servant to the club, particularly under new head coach Luciano Spalletti. The 27-year-old has continued to perform despite repeated attempts to force him out of the club.

It has been widely expected that McKennie would leave the Bianconeri on a free transfer in the summer, but Ben Jacobs reports that he could already be on the move this month.

Juventus have made it clear that they will listen to offers in excess of €10 million this winter, as it is their final chance to collect a fee for the midfielder. Links with Besiktas have been played down.

McKennie could make Premier League return

McKennie, who came through the FC Dallas academy but never made a senior appearance, has been linked with a return to the United States in recent years. He previously turned down a move to FC Cincinnati.

There is a belief that he could be more receptive to a switch to MLS in 2026, but Jacobs has revealed that McKennie also has big-name European suitors. LaLiga giants Atletico Madrid are said to have expressed an interest in the 27-year-old.

Additionally, Jacobs reports that McKennie could make a surprising return to the Premier League, where he previously played during a loan spell at Leeds United. Two unnamed English clubs have made contact over a potential transfer, according to Jacobs.

MLS clubs could find it difficult to compete with McKennie's European suitors, especially if he is to move this month. A fee in excess of €10m is not insurmountable for MLS clubs - Josh Sargent is currently in talks over a €15m+ move to Toronto - but it would make signing him eminently more difficult than a free transfer.
