Juventus have held new talks over Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa and Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee after being snubbed by Fenerbahce star Youssef En-Nesyri.

The Bianconeri have been scrambling for attacking reinforcements since the start of January, but it has proved to be a very challenging window. After baulking at Crystal Palace's asking price for Jean-Philippe Mateta, Juventus shifted their focus to Youssef En-Nesyri.

Despite interest from the Premier League, the Italian club made good progress in talks with the Morocco international and looked to be closing in on a deal to sign him.

However, En-Nesyri stalled on the move at the last moment because he is "unconvinced" by the prospect of only joining Juventus on loan, as director Giorgio Chiellini has put it. Unfortunately for the striker, the Italian has made it clear that the Old Lady won't sign him permanently.

En-Nesyri's dallying has left Juventus considerably annoyed. For now, the deal is considered off, forcing the Serie A giants to explore alternative options in the market.

Juventus hold fresh Chiesa, Zirkzee talks

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have reignited talks with Liverpool over Federico Chiesa and Man Utd over Joshua Zirkzee after moving on from En-Nesyri.

A deal for Chiesa was already discussed earlier in the window. The Italian was said to be keen on a surprising return to Turin, but Liverpool refused to greenlight his exit. The Reds would only have accepted a permanent exit, while Juventus wanted to sign him on loan.

Zirkzee, meanwhile, is a long-standing target for the Bianconeri. Juventus have explored a deal for him on numerous occasions, but this transfer also looks to be difficult to pull off.

Man Utd have made it clear that they will not allow any players to leave unless a replacement is lined up. With just a few days to go until the window shuts, it is highly doubtful that the Red Devils will be able to bring in a player of similar - or higher - quality.

Had Man Utd been open to allowing Zirkzee to leave this month, he would have become an AS Roma player weeks ago. The Giallorossi have been unsuccessfully pushing for a deal since at least November, so Juventus will surely struggle to sign him this late in the window.
