AS Roma, OGC Nice and Olympique Marseille have all reportedly approached Chelsea over a possible deal for academy starlet Genesis Antwi.

The Sweden U21 international is regarded as one of the top young prospects in Chelsea’s famed academy and he made his first-team debut for the club against Copenhagen in the Europa Conference League last season.

Antwi also appeared off the bench during Chelsea’s semi-final second leg victory over Djurgarden in the same competition, but he is yet to be included in a first-team matchday squad since the beginning of the 2025-26 campaign.

Instead, the 18-year-old has been a regular at right-back for Chelsea’s U21 side in the Premier League 2 this term, while he has also played a key role in the club’s UEFA Youth League campaign.

Antwi scored two goals and provided one assist in six group stage matches as Chelsea topped the UEFA Youth League table with five wins and one draw, and his immense form in 2025-26 has alerted a number of clubs across Europe.

That is according to TEAMtalk, who state that Roma, Nice and Marseille have all approached Chelsea to understand the potential conditions of a deal this year.

Antwi is reportedly unlikely to depart Stamford Bridge before the winter transfer window slams shut on 2 February, however interest in his services is expected to increase over the next few months ahead of this summer.

Genesis Antwi to leave Chelsea?

Although Antwi has attracted interest from several top teams, he recently signed a contract extension at Chelsea, meaning his current deal at the club isn’t due to expire until 2028.

The agreement also includes an option for Chelsea to extend his stay in west London for a further two years.

Antwi, who is naturally a right-back but can be deployed on the left or as a right winger, joined Chelsea from Swedish club Hammarby at the age of 11 and the Blues hierarchy reportedly view him as a key part of their academy.
