AS Roma midfielder Manu Kone will reportedly join Manchester United on a permanent deal next summer.
The France international, 24, has been an integral player for Roma since his arrival at the club last summer and his eye-catching form has caught the attention of scouts across Europe.

Kone has been linked with several top clubs across the continent in recent months, although Man Utd have now emerged as the frontrunners to sign him in 2026 amid their pursuit of a new central midfielder.
Ruben Amorim’s side are desperate to bolster their options in the middle of the park next year, with Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo, Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte all linked with a possible Old Trafford exit.
Premier League stars Elliot Anderson, Adam Wharton and Carlos Baleba have been identified as priority targets by the Red Devils hierarchy, however Kone has now established himself as a possible alternative.
Manu Kone to join Man Utd in 2026?
Kone, who has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €60 million, has played every available minute for Roma in Serie A so far this season and Man Utd are reportedly set to finalise an agreement for him to join the club next summer.
That is according to Italian journalist Francesca Teodori, who told AS Roma Live (via Manchester Evening News): “It's a fairly credible rumour. I've been told by multiple sources that he'll leave Roma in June and join Manchester United.
“I don't know if this has anything to do with the [Joshua] Zirkzee deal, he might have been included as a sort of counterpart. This remains to be seen, but what's certain is that Kone is very keen on the destination and it looks like he could join United in June.”
Zirkzee has already agreed terms with Roma over a January transfer, although Man Utd are yet to accept a €40m proposal as they wait for Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo to return from the Africa Cup of Nations.
A deal is expected to go through before the end of the winter window, however, and Kone could be set to move in the opposite direction next summer. If an agreement is reached, the Frenchman will become Man Utd's second signing of 2026 following the arrival of Colombia youngster Cristian Orozco.
