Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Toure, according to a report.

The 19-year-old has been one of the standout youngsters in the Bundesliga so far this season. Toure joined Hoffenheim in a deal worth up to €14 million last January and has been a mainstay in a side that has been one of the biggest surprises of the campaign.

Hoffenheim, after barely avoiding relegation last term, are currently fifth in the Bundesliga table, with Toure a big reason for their success. The winger has contributed two goals and five assists in 14 league appearances.

Although still raw in many aspects of his game, particularly his finishing, Toure is understandably viewed as one of the Bundesliga's biggest prospects because of his physical and technical attributes.

The diminutive dribbler has clocked the joint-second-highest top speed in the Bundesliga this term with 35.98 km/h, the same as compatriot Yan Diomande of RB Leipzig. Union Berlin's Oliver Burke tops that chart with 36.01 km/h.

Arsenal, Man Utd battle for Toure

Suitors have been closely following Toure's development since the start of the season. In October, Sky Germany reported that Premier League clubs, in particular, have taken a liking to the teenager and that he is all but guaranteed to be on the move next summer.

The expectation is that Toure will shatter Hoffenheim's club record when he inevitably gets sold. The current record is occupied by Joelinton, who commanded €43.5 million when he joined Newcastle in 2019.

According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal and Man Utd have both been closely scouting Toure in recent months. The report also confirms that the youngster is likely to cost north of €40m.

A January transfer is not expected, which is understandable given that Hoffenheim are fighting for a spot in Europe and due to his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Toure has yet to feature for the Ivory Coast at the tournament in Morocco, with coach Emerse Fae instead opting to start the aforementioned Diomande and Man Utd star Amad Diallo. The latter could put in a good word for the Red Devils.
