Man Utd target FOUR Bournemouth stars as transfer policy changes
Manchester United are interested in as many as four Bournemouth stars heading into 2026, according to a report.
The Red Devils played out a spectacular 4-4 draw with the Cherries on Monday evening, in a game that nicely illustrated the strengths of both sides and even more so their shortcomings.
Man Utd need a midfield revamp and have shortlisted more than a dozen names, including two Bournemouth stars in Tyler Adams and Alex Scott, who are viewed as potentially cost-effective solutions.
The 2026 summer market will be dominated by midfielders moving for inflated fees, similar to strikers this year, so Man Utd are exploring cheaper options. Adams and Scott are not the club's priority targets, but they have been discussed, possibly even with a view to the January window.
Additionally, Man Utd are also firmly in the mix to sign Antoine Semenyo, who is fully expected to be the subject of January bids, as he will have a €74 million release clause in the early weeks of the window.
Man Utd eye Truffert
According to TEAMtalk, Man Utd have also taken a keen interest in a fourth Bournemouth star, namely left-back Adrien Truffert. The Frenchman replaced Milos Kerkez in the summer and has arguably been an upgrade on the Hungarian.
Man Utd are actively scouring the market for players who can play at left wing-back. After Man Utd's loss to Everton in January, Ruben Amorim insisted that he needs a left-sided Amad Diallo.
Truffert is not necessarily that kind of player. Compared to his predecessor Kerkez and especially Diallo, the 24-year-old is more restrained going forward, and Amorim specifically wanted a right-footer.
He is nevertheless a name currently under consideration, with Man Utd determined to continue this summer's transfer strategy of primarily signing players with Premier League experience.
Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, who were both signed from Premier League rivals, have been successful reinforcements, while big-money striker Benjamin Sesko has yet to truly acclimatise to life in the English top flight.
Man Utd are therefore planning to continue with this approach going forward.
