Arsenal open door to FOUR January transfers
Arsenal are reportedly open to selling Gabriel Martinelli, Ben White and Gabriel Jesus during the upcoming January transfer window, while Ethan Nwaneri could leave the club on loan.
The Gunners have enjoyed a sublime start to the 2025-26 season, winning 14 of their 17 matches across all competitions, and they are expected to be fairly inactive in regards to incomings in January.
Mikel Arteta’s side splashed a whopping €293.5 million on new signings this summer and despite links with Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo, it’s understood that Arsenal are likely to retain faith with their current crop of players for the remainder of the campaign.
In fact, The Daily Mail report that the expectation is for 95% of Arsenal’s squad to remain unchanged.
However, the aforementioned four players could be set to depart.
Arsenal’s January transfer plans
Martinelli has fallen down the pecking order following the summer arrivals of Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke, in addition to the form of Leandro Trossard, and Arsenal will reportedly consider a sale if a “significant offer” is submitted, particularly from Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are open to selling White due to the plethora of full-backs currently at the club. He has only started one Premier League match so far this season and a departure could take place in January. However, it’s said to be more likely that his future will be discussed next summer.
Jesus has been heavily linked with an Arsenal exit throughout his ACL injury layoff and multiple clubs in Brazil are monitoring his situation.
Arteta has admitted that he wants to keep the ex-Manchester City forward, but The Daily Mail state that Arsenal will look to sell him if a “sensible offer” comes in. If not, a departure during the 2026 summer transfer window is likely.
Finally, Nwaneri could be sent on loan to bolster his development due to the fact he has only racked up 163 Premier League minutes so far this term.
