Top source drops Semenyo BOMB as Liverpool and Man City plot January move
Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham are mulling over a January move for Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo, according to Sky Sports.
The Ghana international has emerged as one of the Premier League's hottest commodities and was already being chased by suitors in the summer. However, Bournemouth managed to keep hold of him, despite advanced talks with Man Utd.
Semenyo agreed to sign a new long-term contract with the Cherries, but it is clear that this only delayed the inevitable. The 25-year-old is expected to leave Bournemouth in 2026, and he has a release clause in his deal.
Heading into the January transfer window, speculation is once again rampant. Reports have alleged that Semenyo has asked to leave the South Coast club in the winter, but Sky Sports states that this is not true.
In fact, it is understood that Semenyo has been left considerably annoyed by the claims that he is demanding a January exit. Nevertheless, Sky confirms that a winter move is a possibility.
Semenyo monitored by three big guns
The report states that Liverpool, Man City and Tottenham are monitoring Semenyo ahead of the January window, with the latter in particular keen on him.
Spurs are planning to add a big-name attacker in the winter and have identified the Ghanaian as a key target. Whether he would abandon Bournemouth mid-season is unclear.
Bids are likely to come in from suitors, with Liverpool and Man City potentially also in the mix. However, adding an attacker is more of a long-term plan rather than a pressing concern for January.
Semenyo will be one to watch in the upcoming window, although it is too early to make any predictions as to whether he truly will be on the move. Bournemouth are doing well in the Premier League, and he may stick around until the summer.
