Martin Zubimendi price tag

Chelsea have been informed that Arsenal want a fee of at least €90 million to sell Martin Zubimendi this summer, according to reports in Spain.

The 27-year-old has emerged as a surprise target for Chelsea in recent days, with rumours indicating that Xabi Alonso is desperate to reunite with his compatriot following a stint together at Real Sociedad B.

As a result, Chelsea are reportedly keen to pounce, while Real Madrid may also be given the opportunity to pursue a deal after missing out on his signature last summer. That is according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, who report that an offer in excess of €90m will be required to tempt Arsenal into a sale before Deadline Day.

However, while Mundo Deportivo claim that Zubimendi’s future at Arsenal is “uncertain”, FootballTransfers can confirm that Arteta has absolutely no interest in allowing his compatriot to leave this summer.

Arteta spent three years attempting to sign Zubimendi from Real Sociedad and despite the recent arrival of Guimaraes, the Gunners aren’t willing to offload the 27-year-old before the end of Deadline Day.

Ryan Kavuma-McQueen agreement close

Chelsea winger Ryan Kavuma-McQueen is set to be formally announced as a Portsmouth player this week, with talks over a season-long loan deal edging towards their conclusion.

Kavuma-McQueen scored 13 goals in 26 games for Chelsea’s youth teams last year and he was a regular for the club’s U21s as they won the Premier League 2 regular season title.

He was subsequently included in the Blues’ senior squad for their pre-season tour of Australia and Asia, and negotiations over a loan move to Portsmouth are expected to conclude following the club’s return to England.

That is according to BBC Sport’s Nizaar Kinsella, who posted on X: “Talks are very much trending in the right direction. Expecting Kavuma-McQueen to be a Portsmouth loanee before the end of the week.”

Arsenal join Pedro Neto race

Arsenal are the latest club to register their interest in Chelsea winger Pedro Neto, as per a report from Simon Phillips.

The Portugal international has been linked with a possible Stamford Bridge exit before Deadline Day and Arsenal have reportedly now joined Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign him this summer.

Chelsea are willing to consider offers for Neto, although he hasn’t been placed on their ‘for sale’ list, and it’s understood that a fee in excess of €80m will be required to sign him.

Benfica want Tosin Adarabioyo

Benfica boss Marco Silva is keen to reunite with his former Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo following the sale of Antonio Silva to Bournemouth, according to Portuguese outlet Correio da Manha.

The Chelsea star played a bit-part role last season and he is one of several centre-backs who could leave Stamford Bridge before the end of the summer window as Xabi Alonso looks to trim down his squad.

Ex-Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos has aimed a sly dig at his former club following his summer move to Manchester United.

Speaking while on the Red Devils’ pre-season camp, Santos admitted: “since my first day I feel at home, so I think this is so important for me and for new players as well.
