Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee is ready to quit the club over his lack of action under Ruben Amorim, according to Dutch media.
The Netherlands international arrived at Old Trafford in summer 2024, but he has failed to live up to the hype. One of Serie A's most exciting players at Bologna, Zirkzee has shown little at Man Utd that would get fans off their seats.
Such were his struggles in his first season at Man Utd that he was already being linked with a departure after six months, and for good reason, too. Juventus were desperate to bring Zirkzee back to Italy in January of this year.

However, the player and Man Utd decided to give their cooperation more time to blossom, and they did so again in the summer, but with no tangible results to date. Zirkzee remains a rarely-used squad player, and this has damaged his prospects of featuring for his country.
According to Voetbal International, the 24-year-old has seen the writing on the wall and is ready to quit Man Utd in January to salvage his chances of making the Netherlands' 2026 World Cup squad.
Zirkzee 'in disbelief' over Amorim treatment
The Dutch publication states that Zirkzee has been left 'in disbelief' over how Ruben Amorim has treated him. The versatile forward feels overlooked by the Portuguese and has had enough.
Zirkzee is now actively looking for a January transfer. Market expert Fabrizio Romano also recently confirmed that the Dutchman could be heading for the exit should his lack of game time persist.
A return to Serie A appears to be the most likely outcome. Juventus are reportedly still keen on Zirkzee as Dusan Vlahovic will leave the club either in January or when his contract expires in the summer.
Napoli have also been credited with an interest, which is no surprise considering the success they have had when it comes to signing Man Utd's unwanted players. AC Milan and Inter previously explored a move for Zirkzee.
