Romano sends Endrick to Man Utd update as Aston Villa make €20m bid for Real Madrid striker
Real Madrid striker Endrick finds himself caught up in the early January transfer hype as Manchester United weigh up a move while Los Blancos are set to receive a sizeable bid from Aston Villa.
Endrick’s situation has caught the eye since Xabi Alonso took charge at the Bernabeu. The young Brazilian’s form last season was promising, but he has yet to play a minute of LaLiga or Champions League football under the Spain legend.
Consequently, he has been linked with a move away from the club, with Man Utd heavily linked with the 19-year-old.
Fabrizio Romano has dropped an important update on the player’s situation, revealing on X: “Endrick’s planned move for January is only a loan, no intention to proceed with any permanent transfer proposal.
“Endrick can imagine his future at Real Madrid, only planning for a short-term loan to get more game time and develop, also with World Cup incoming.”
United are unlikely to move for the forward under these conditions, further fuelling claims that Real Sociedad are in pole position to land the teen in January.
Aston Villa launch ambitious Real Madrid bid
Aston Villa are set to offer Real Madrid around €20 million for striker Goncalo Garcia, the youngster who made an exciting breakthrough at Endrick’s expense at the FIFA Club World Cup in the summer.
Garcia was promoted to the first-team squad amid a spate of injury problems and grabbed his opportunity impressively, scoring four goals in six games.
He has been little more than a bit-part player in Alonso’s plans since, earning just a smattering of minutes as a substitute here and there.
Unai Emery is willing to give Garcia more opportunities at Villa and is willing to offer Real Madrid €20 million for the 21-year-old.
Although he has played only 107 minutes across eight games this season, he is still seen as a key player for the future by Los Blancos, who have installed a €1 billion release clause in his contract.
Real Madrid are unlikely to sanction January moves for both Endrick and Goncalo Garcia, so it is likely that the future of these young stars is at least partially linked.
