The Turkey international wonderkid has generated a huge among of interest in recent weeks thanks to his stellar displays in Turin, where he is so highly regarded that he was even made the captain in the midweek Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

With two goals and four assists this season, the 20-year-old Yildiz has had a €100 million price put on his head and has attracted interest from the likes of Chelsea and Los Blancos.

In order to stave this off, Juventus want to hand their star man an enhanced contract, despite the fact that his current deal runs until 2029.

Chelsea get positive Kenan Yildiz message

Romano has delivered good news to the Blues over this.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said: “There are many rumours - Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich - but also Premier League clubs keeping a close eye. Juventus are doing everything they can to extend his contract, but as of now, no agreement has been reached. Talks are ongoing, and Juve are pushing hard to keep him, but the situation remains open.

Premier League interest is genuine, so let’s see what happens in 2026. For now, Juventus are working to secure his future at the club.”

Chelsea are still in the market for a player in his mould after they surprisingly missed out on Netherlands international Xavi Simons in the summer. Despite chasing the Dutch playmaker for weeks, he left RB Leipzig to join London rivals Tottenham.

Now Enzo Maresca’s side are likely to pursue Yildiz as an alternative, though they will have to be patient. Juventus are counting on their young star, and if he has to leave, it surely will not be until the summer of 2026.
