Fabrizio Romano has voiced his belief that Arsenal will be able to agree a new contract with Bukayo Saka.

The Gunners have focused heavily on handing the players leading their title charge improved deals to potentially build a dynasty in North London. After Gabriel Magalhaes in the summer, the likes of William Saliba, Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Max Dowman have all penned fresh terms.

Next on the agenda is right-back Jurrien Timber, who is said to be keen to sign a new contract at Arsenal. He has become arguably the best full-back in the Premier League since recovering from the ACL injury that robbed him of his first season at the Emirates.

In addition to the Netherlands international, discussions are also taking place with superstar winger Bukayo Saka. In fact, these talks have been in full swing for several months.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Arsenal were finally making some really good progress in the discussions with the England international and that his extension is now close.

Saka to agree new Arsenal deal

According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, there is still no agreement in place with the 24-year-old, but talks are indeed 'very positive.' The market expert fully expects that the 'deal will get done' and that Saka will be among the best-paid players at Arsenal.

"Yes, he would be among their top earners," Romano told GIVEMESPORT. "The length of the contract is being discussed, but talks are very positive, so I think a new deal will get done."

Saka has become an invaluable asset to Arsenal, although some worry that his presence could stunt the development of Max Dowman, who impressed against Brighton midweek.

However, the Gunners clearly don't share those fears and want to tie him to the club long-term, having seen him develop into one of the best players in world football since his emergence. Saka's current Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at a whopping €105 million.

After Timber and Saka, Arsenal are expected to open talks with Declan Rice over an improved contract. The midfielder has been at Arsenal since 2023, and his current terms expire in 2028.
