Real Madrid get RECORD €150m offer as Chelsea target Camavinga

Real Madrid have been presented with a record €150 million transfer offer as Chelsea are linked with a move for France midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

Xabi Alonso’s side have made a positive start to the season, winning their first four league matches and coming out on top 2-1 against Marseille in the Champions League on Tuesday thanks to a couple of Kylian Mbappe penalties.

One of the stars for Los Blancos so far this season has been Arda Guler, and according to Defensa Central, the Turkey ace has been the subject of a mystery approach from the Premier League. The Spanish source claims that Real Madrid have been told by a top-flight club in England that they are willing to pay €150 million for the 20-year-old attacker – if he maintains the level he has shown so far this season.

Guler, who has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €53m, has two goals and an assist already this season. He appears to be entirely at home in Alonso’s system while a contract until 2029 means that Real Madrid are entirely in control of his future.

Chelsea could potentially be the Premier League side interested in Guler given the Blues’ desire to add another attacking midfielder to their ranks, and the fact that he fits the BlueCo profile of a young, up-and-coming star.

A €150m move would set a new British transfer record, eclipsing the €145m Liverpool have so far paid Newcastle for Alexander Isak.

Chelsea target Camavinga swap

Chelsea have been longer linked with Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, who appears an altogether more viable transfer target.

With questions being raised over where the France international fits into Xabi Alonso’s plans at the Bernabeu, the Blues are ready to take advantage.

Fichajes reports that Chelsea are even considering a swap deal with Enzo Fernandez, who has long been linked with a move to the Spanish capital.

Finances will make this a difficult operation, with the values of the players very different. Chelsea still have a sizeable portion of Enzo Fernandez’s €121m fee from Benfica to pay from their books, while Real Madrid are close to a pure profit position with Camavinga, making a direct swap a difficult deal to agree.
