Real Madrid is a team full of Galacticos.

Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr, Jude Bellingham all fit the description of a Galactico.

Arda Guler, Endrick and Franco Mastantuono have been hyped up at various times over the past year to be future superstars, as well.

But there is another Real Madrid-owned starlet who is destined for greatness. His name is Nico Paz.

Nico Paz: future Galactico

Paz has exploded over the past year at Como.

He joined the Italian side in 2024 after they were promoted from Serie B for €6 million.

Madrid installed three buyback clauses in the transfer allowing them to re-sign Paz for €9m in 2025, €10m in 2026 and €11m in 2027.

Just over a year after joining Como, Paz is valued by the club at close to €100m after exploding in Serie A.

Coached by Cesc Fabregas - himself set for big things in the coaching world - Paz has been a phenomenon.

Fielded as the number 10 in a 4-2-3-1 system, the attacking midfielder has taken the Italian league by storm.

Blessed with a gorgeous left foot, silky skills, creativity, elegance and vision, Paz has everything you want of a Galactico.

This season he has already scored two wonder goals for Como in three Serie A games.

On matchday one, he curled home a frankly ridiculous left-footed free kick into the top corner against Lazio.

And on Monday this week against Genoa, Paz made space for himself with nimble footwork before lashing home an unstoppable rocket from outside the area.

These two goals were just the latest in a catalogue of sensational strikes and plays at Como.

Last season Paz was named as the best Under-23 player in Serie A after contributing 15 goals (six goals, nine assists) in 35 games for Como.

These impressive performances saw Tottenham make a €70 million bid for Paz in the latter stages of the summer transfer window.

Como rejected the offer, with Real Madrid promising to compensate the Italian side for the lost revenue when they bring back the player to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Fabrizio Romano and others have confirmed that Paz will return to Madrid in the summer of 2026.

Madrid have promised to now pay substantially more than the €10m buyback fee - but in truth he will be worth whatever they pay for him.

"He’s a special player and he must be free to express himself,” Fabregas said last season

“We must not make him robotic."

In Fabregas, Paz has had the perfect coach to allow him to grow.

But by 2026 he will be more than ready for Real Madrid.

Now a regular in the Argentina squad, he will go to the World Cup before hooking up with the Galacticos at Madrid.

The big question is how Xabi Alonso will fit him in among all the other superstars.

Until then, just enjoy this special young player in his final season at Como.
