Chelsea scouts watch €100m wonderkid score STUNNER as Blues chase huge deal
Chelsea scouts were reportedly in attendance to watch Kenan Yildiz during Juventus’ dramatic 4-3 victory over fierce rivals Inter Milan on Saturday evening.
The Turkey international has been linked with a host of top European clubs over the past few months and he was tipped to secure a big-money summer transfer before opting to
Chelsea are among the clubs eager to sign Yildiz and they have earmarked him as a top target for 2026 amid their pursuit of additional attacking reinforcements following their failure to sign RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons this year.
The Blues also missed out on Barcelona star Fermin Lopez and they therefore decided to bring in Facundo Buonanotte on a season-long loan deal from Brighton & Hove Albion on Transfer Deadline Day.
Despite this, landing a permanent option to compete with Cole Palmer for a starting berth in the No.10 position has been identified as a top priority.
The 20-year-old registered 21 goal contributions in 52 appearances across all competitions last season and he opened his account for the new campaign with a stunning long-range strike against Juventus in the Derby d’Italia on Saturday.
Chelsea want to sign Kenan Yildiz
According to CaughtOffside journalist Mark Brus, Chelsea sent scouts to watch Yildiz in action versus Inter, with his impressive goal no doubt catching the eye.
He told The Daily Briefing: “As I told you earlier this week, Chelsea have attacking players on their list of top priorities for the months ahead, one of which is Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz.
“Well, I’ve just had it confirmed to me that Chelsea had scouts watching tonight as Yildiz scored this superb long-range effort as Juve beat Inter Milan.”
It comes after Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw by Brentford on Saturday, with summer signings Jamie Gittens and Buonanotte both struggling on the night.
