Alejandro Garnacho ‘expected’ to join

Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho is now on the verge of completing a transfer to Chelsea, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.

He admitted in his latest YouTube video: “I can also tell you that Chelsea 100% expect the Alejandro Garnacho deal to happen. I fully think we will have a ‘here we go’ this week for Garnacho.

“For sure, Garnacho is expected to become a Chelsea player. This is the message coming very strongly to the player from Chelsea. The player feels this deal will happen.”

Garnacho hijack?

Despite Romano’s message, Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eager to hijack Chelsea’s deal for Garnacho.

That is according to X account IndyKaila, who posted: “Manchester United are hoping Tottenham will step into the race for Alejandro Garnacho following their failed pursuit of Eberechi Eze.

“Spurs have now made contact with Man Utd. Chelsea are still currently the favourites.”

Tottenham are also interested in Manchester City winger Savinho and it’s believed he is a more likely transfer target for Thomas Frank’s side.

Borussia Dortmund double deal

Chelsea have reached an agreement to offload both Carney Chukwuemeka and Aaron Anselmino to Borussia Dortmund before Transfer Deadline Day.

The aforementioned Romano has given his famous ‘here we go’ catchphrase on Chukwuemeka’s transfer, while he will soon be followed by Anselmino, who joined Chelsea from Boca Juniors last year.

Chukwuemeka will rejoin Dortmund on a permanent deal, although Anselmino will only arrive on a season-long loan deal with no option to buy.

Aston Villa eye Christopher Nkunku

Aston Villa have joined Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig in the race to sign Chelsea outcast Christopher Nkunku.

That is according to Romano, who has confirmed that Unai Emery’s side are also in talks to sign Nicolas Jackson as they look to bolster their forward line ahead of Transfer Deadline Day.

Nkunku has been excluded from Chelsea’s matchday squad for both of their opening two Premier League fixtures and Enzo Maresca has admitted that a transfer is likely.

Tyrique George latest

Chelsea are hoping to finalise a deal for Xavi Simons and their pursuit could be aided by Tyrique George, who is wanted by the Bundesliga outfit.

CaughtOffside have confirmed Leipzig’s interest in the Chelsea youngster, with the club reportedly set to submit a formal offer worth €15m. They are also expected to offer George a contract valid for either four or five years.

George has asked to leave Chelsea in order to ensure he receives regular first-team minutes and he was excluded from Maresca’s squad to face West Ham United on Friday.
