The 14-year-old is regarded as one of the top academy prospects in English football and he has officially completed a summer move to Chelsea after opting to leave Man City, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The football transfer news expert posted on social media: “Chelsea have completed deal for the Academy to sign talented attacking midfielder Isaac McGillvary.

“One of the most promising talents in the UK at his age, Isaac joins the Chelsea project to further his development. CFC delighted with this important youth addition.”

Meanwhile, X account TheSecretScout has confirmed that the five-step process needed for academy transfers was completed on Friday morning.

Chelsea complete signing of Isaac McGillvary

McGillvary has become the second youngster in as many days to complete a move to Chelsea, following Jesse Derry’s switch from Crystal Palace on Thursday 31 July.

The teenager, who is an England youth international, will link up with Chelsea’s U15 side next season after being offered a six-year deal by the west London giants, as per Football Insider.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are also in advanced talks to sign Jorrel Hato and Xavi Simons, with the Netherlands duo expected to complete their respective moves to Stamford Bridge before the 2025-26 season kicks off in mid-August.

Enzo Maresca’s side have already signed Jamie Gittens, Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Estevao Willian, Dario Essugo, Mamadou Sarr and Kendry Paez so far this summer, and they are set to add Hato and Simons to their extremely large first-team squad.

In addition, Chelsea also remain interested in Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho and they are expected to submit a formal offer for his services before the end of the summer transfer window.

The Argentina international is eager to leave Old Trafford and he has reportedly set his sights on completing a move to Chelsea.
