Enzo Maresca CONFIRMS Chelsea transfer plan
Enzo Maresca has once again confirmed that a host of players aren’t in his future plans at Chelsea via his team selection against West Ham United.
The Blues have already offloaded 17 players so far this summer, either on loan or permanently, and reports suggest that a further 11 stars could be heading to the exit door before Transfer Deadline Day.
Chelsea are under pressure to raise funds through player sales after breaching UEFA financial regulations and the club are now prioritising outgoings, despite their advanced pursuits of both Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho.
A ‘bomb squad’ has formed at Stamford Bridge for the second consecutive summer, and Maresca’s latest matchday squad has provided yet another hint regarding the futures of several Chelsea stars.
Who is in Chelsea’s matchday squad vs West Ham?
Tosin Adarabioyo missed the 0-0 draw versus Crystal Palace through injury, but he has been included in Chelsea’s starting XI at the London Stadium, while Josh Acheampong has dropped to the bench.
Wesley Fofana is once again among the substitutes after he caused a social media stir this week by removing any trace of Chelsea from his Instagram profile.
Notable absentees from the matchday squad include: Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku, Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi, Carney Chukwuemeka and Tyrique George.

David Datro Fofana, Alfie Gilchrist and Alex Matos are also missing amid significant rumours of a Chelsea departure before Deadline Day.
The aforementioned George was selected on the substitutes bench against Crystal Palace on Sunday, but he has dropped out of the matchday squad following Tosin’s return to full fitness.
The England youth international has asked to leave Chelsea in order to improve his development and it’s believed that his chances of securing an exit will increase dramatically if the aforementioned Garnacho arrives in west London.
Maresca has already confirmed that Chelsea would be “happy” if Jackson and Nkunku are sold this summer, while the remainder of the missing stars versus West Ham, with the exception of George, were also excluded from the Blues’ Club World Cup squad after being deemed surplus to requirements.
