Liverpool remain active in the market, while movement is expected at Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal as the Premier League big guns finalise their squads for the season ahead.

Here are five huge moves that could be done this week.

Alexander Isak – Newcastle United to Liverpool

It’s the big one. Isak has been the name on everyone’s lips since he announced his desire to look at options away from Newcastle, effectively going public that he wants to move to Liverpool.

This is a situation that could develop very quickly. The Sweden star is not training with the Magpies’ first team, and the scoreless draw against Aston Villa on Saturday made it clear that it’s a situation that needs resolved as quickly as possible.

Although there’s no club-to-club agreement, Isak has made it clear he wants the move, so this one could gather pace at any moment.

Marc Guehi – Crystal Palace to Liverpool

The Reds’ spending is set to continue at a pace, with the expectation that they will also sign a centre-back sooner rather than later. Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi appears destined for Anfield.

The England defender seemed to blank manager Oliver Glasner after Sunday’s draw with Chelsea in an exchange that has been interpreted as frosty.

With just a year left on his contract, Palace are set to be bullied into a sale, with a deal set to come soon.

Gianluigi Donnarumma – PSG to Manchester City

The big Italian goalkeeper will be leaving PSG this summer and he looks primed to sign for Manchester City.

Donnarumma is leaving the Champions League winners as he has been unable to agree a new contract with them. As he only has a year left on his current deal, PSG have decided to sell him rather than risk losing him for nothing.

Ederson first needs to join Galatasaray to pave the way for this deal, but that transfer also appears to be heading for a swift conclusion.

Alejandro Garnacho – Man Utd to Chelsea

Although there’s been little coverage of this potentially blockbuster deal, Fabrizio Romano said last week that negotiations between the two clubs are “very, very advanced”.

Speaking on YouTube, the football transfer news reporter added: “Chelsea are working on this Garnacho deal and they have an agreement with Garnacho. I know that in the media it’s not that present, but trust me behind the scenes the Garnacho deal is very, very advanced and Man Utd are prepared to sell Garnacho on a permanent transfer.”

Chelsea, of course, need to make sales, but Christopher Nkunku’s move to Bayern Munich appears to be gaining momentum.

Eberechi Eze – Crystal Palace to Tottenham

Spurs are set to land a top attacking talent in the form of Eberechi Eze, who made a surprise appearance for Crystal Palace against Chelsea at the weekend.

The England winger is destined to hook up with Thomas Frank’s side, who appear to have beaten Arsenal to the punch.

Palace boss Oliver Glasner said after the Blues clash that he expects Eze to be available for the midweek clash against Fredrikstad, but the general expectation is for a big move to be brokered soon.

Eze has a price of €81 million (£70m) on his head – a figure that smashes the record for Palace’s biggest sale.
