Arsenal, Liverpool or PSG? Fabrizio Romano reveals Rodrygo transfer truth
Fabrizio Romano has urged patience in the transfer saga surrounding Real Madrid star Rodrygo, who has still not made a final decision on a move away.
The Brazilian megastar is mulling over his future after seeing his importance to Los Blancos diminish drastically following the arrival of Kylian Mbappe.
Particularly in the latter stages of the previous season, Rodrygo's minutes dropped, with a lack of form and fitness also playing their part. This state of affairs continued under new boss Xabi Alonso at the Club World Cup.
Real Madrid, feeling that they have too many attackers currently at the club, are willing to listen to offers for Rodrygo, but the 24-year-old will have the final say on his future.
Arsenal were linked with the winger for weeks, but talk of a move to North London has gone quiet of late, with the Gunners focusing on different names. PSG are known to be attentive to Rodrygo's situation, while Liverpool will reportedly target him if Luis Diaz is sold.
Romano on Rodrygo
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has now sought to set the record straight on Rodrygo's, insisting that contrary to all the rumours swirling around, the Brazil international still has not made a final decision.
"At the moment, nothing is happening today or in this moment for Rodrygo," Romano explained on his YouTube channel. "Why? Because the player is on holiday, and his agents are talking to Real Madrid.
"They already had a meeting last week to just present their own position. In that meeting, from what I heard, Real Madrid confirmed that they are open to letting Rodrygo go.
"Now, it's Rodrygo, together with his agents, who has to decide what he wants to do - stay at Real Madrid, compete for a spot, or leave and explore all the options. There are options in the Premier League, there are options also in other countries, including at PSG.
"There are several options eventually for Rodrygo. But at the moment, it is not an advanced negotiation club-to-club, [and] not on the player's side, because this has to start with Rodrygo.
"It's Rodrygo who has to go to Real Madrid and say, 'Okay, I understand your position, I want to go, I want to leave, give me the final price and I will bring offers.' So, this depends on Rodrygo, and this is up to Rodrygo."
