Jose Mourinho ORDERS record-breaking Marcus Rashford bid
Jose Mourinho is ready to save Marcus Rashford from his Manchester United exile, with the Fenerbahce manager spearheading a massive move for the England star.
Rashford continues to be frozen out at Manchester United, with Ruben Amorim having placed the England international in a group of undesirables at Old Trafford. The 28-year-old has joined Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Jadon Sancho as offensive players that Man Utd want to sell this summer in order to help balance their books.
The attacker has not been seen in the Red Devils’ colours since falling out with Amorim in December and finding a summer move for him is proving complicated.
Barcelona are Rashford’s dream destination, but the ongoing financial problems of the Camp Nou side mean that a deal currently looks complicated.
Now Mourinho, his former Man Utd manager, could help salvage the situation. According to Turkish source T24, the Portuguese wants to reunite with the forward at Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce prepare record-breaking Rashford offer
Fenerbahce will make an offer of a one-year loan deal for Rashford, but this will include a purchase option of €46m – potentially smashing the club’s record transfer fee.
The deal is being driven by Mourinho, who has offered the Super Lig outfit to explore the transfer. The former Man Utd boss wants to complete the move as soon as possible.
Director of football Devin Ozek is set to travel to Manchester at the beginning of next week to discuss the transfer.
Fenerbahce are hopeful that the relationship between Mourinho and Rashford can act as a catalyst for the deal. The forward is said to see the Portuguese boss as a ‘father figure’, having enjoyed one of the best spells of his career under his guidance at Old Trafford.
This move comes in direct response to rivals Galatasaray closing in on the signing of Nigeria international Victor Osimhen in a staggering €75m deal from Napoli.
