Manchester United are close to finalising a deal for Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra, according to reports in Italy.
The 22-year-old is expected to leave Valencia this summer, after six years at the club, and he is being tracked by multiple top European teams ahead of an imminent departure.

AC Milan have been in talks to sign Guerra for several weeks, while Atletico Madrid are interested in keeping him in Spain, despite agreeing a deal to sign Real Betis midfielder Johnny Cardoso.
However, Man Utd have recently emerged as strong contenders to land the Spain U21 international amid Ruben Amorim’s pursuit of midfield reinforcements.
In fact, Guerra is now close to joining the Old Trafford outfit on a permanent deal, according to a bombshell report from Calciomercato reporter Daniele Longo.
The midfielder reportedly has a €100 million release clause included in his Valencia contract, although the Spanish giants are likely to sanction a sale if they receive an offer in the region of just €30m this summer.
Javi Guerra to join Man Utd?
Guerra has made 89 senior appearances for Valencia, scoring eight goals, and he has been linked with a Premier League move for several years following reported interest from the likes of Arsenal, Aston Villa and Newcastle United.
However, reports indicate that he is set to join Man Utd instead, with the Red Devils expected to make him their third signing of the summer window following the arrivals of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Diego Leon from Cerro Porteno.
Man Utd’s pursuit of Guerra follows Christian Eriksen’s departure upon the expiration of his contract at the start of July. The Denmark international played a peripheral role at Old Trafford last term, but Amorim wants to sign a suitable replacement and Guerra has been identified as a top target by the Red Devils after an impressive stint at Valencia.
