Their most recent arrival was Bryan Mbeumo, with United finally ending a transfer saga that lasted for several weeks.

United paid €75 million to Brentford plus add-ons for the attacker, which followed on from their €75m signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves, the €4m purchase of Diego Leon from Cerro Porteno and the free transfer of Enzo Kana-Biyik from Le Havre.

Who will Man Utd buy next?

Romano has now revealed Man Utd's next two planned signings.

The Italian transfer journalist says that United plan to sign a top number nine, while they will also bring in a new goalkeeper - although they must decide whether the latter is an experienced option or a young shot-stopper.

United's ideal target if they go for an experienced goalkeeper is Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez.

"Man Utd will sign an important striker, "

"Now they have been offered Viktor Gyokeres (but the player only wants Arsenal).

"The priorities are now a striker and a goalkeeper.

"There are two ways open for the goalkeeper. Either they bring in a young, talented goalkeeper who can develop under Andre Onana.

"Like Senne Lammers from Royal Antwerp because United have very good contacts with him and have been monitoring him.

"So he is one of the options if they go for a younger goalkeeper.

"The experienced option could be Dibu Martinez. His camp have had several contacts with Man Utd this summer.

"Martinez would be keen on a move to man Utd, but this transfer also depends on the financial package.

"Aston Villa will not make it easy as he is an important player."
