Xavi Simons receives HUGE Chelsea update as Blues launch €68m wonderkid bid
Chelsea have seen a €68 million offer for Kenan Yildiz rejected by Juventus, according to reports in Italy.
The Turkey international has been linked with a move to Chelsea for several months and the Blues remain interested in completing a deal, despite their advanced pursuit of RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons.
In fact, Chelsea representatives travelled to Italy in recent days and they submitted a concrete bid worth between €65-68m, as per a bombshell report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
However, this offer was swiftly turned down by Juventus as the Serie A giants have no intention of selling Yildiz this summer.
The 20-year-old scored 12 goals and provided nine assists in 52 appearances last season and Juventus boss Igor Tudor views him as a pivotal player for the club.
Xavi Simons to join Chelsea?
With a move for Yildiz now looking increasingly difficult, Chelsea are likely to focus their attention on finalising a deal for the aforementioned Simons.
The Netherlands superstar is eager to complete a move to Stamford Bridge this summer and Chelsea are currently in talks with RB Leipzig as they look to reach an agreement to sign the 22-year-old.
Simons is expected to cost around €70m and a west London switch now looks likely to happen.
In addition to Simons, Chelsea are also determined to finalise the arrival of Ajax defender Jorrel Hato, who has previously been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Real Madrid.
Hato is set to provide cover for Marc Cucurella at left-back and Levi Colwill at centre-back, with Chelsea desperate to offload Renato Veiga, Ben Chilwell and Axel Disasi in order to make room for the Dutchman.
