REVEALED: Thomas Frank's first Tottenham signing

Tottenham are in the process of finalising the permanent signing of Bayern Munich attacker Mathys Tel.
The Frenchman spent the second half of the bygone campaign on loan at Spurs and showed some glimpses of promise. In 20 appearances, Tel notched three goals and an assist.
Despite his eminent potential, these numbers were unsurprisingly not enough to convince Tottenham to exercise their whopping €60 million purchase option after already paying a €10m loan fee as well as his full salary.
The North London club did want to keep the 20-year-old, however, so they opened formal talks with Bayern Munich over a potential reduction of the money required to make his stay permanent.
According to BILD, Sky Germany and Fabrizio Romano, the Europa League winners have managed to successfully convince Bayern to lower their demands.
Tottenham to sign Tel
Tottenham and Bayern are in the process of agreeing a €35m transfer fee for Tel, with all parties fully expecting the deal to get over the line in the coming hours and days.
New Spurs boss Thomas Frank is said to have already approved the permanent signing of the France youth international, who will become the Dane's first official signing in his new role.

Tel is expected to pen a long-term contract with Tottenham after failing to live up to his potential at Bayern due to having his first-team opportunities limited by the presence of ex-Spurs hero Harry Kane.
Tel is unlikely to be Tottenham's only attacking signing this summer, with Frank reportedly also pushing for his new side to sign his former Brentford stars Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa.
Mbeumo is keen on a move to Man Utd, but the Red Devils will not force a deal if they feel that Brentford are demanding too much, which could provide Spurs with a window of opportunity.
