Man Utd Transfer News Today: Osimhen deal reignited after huge decision

All the latest Man Utd transfer news in one place, including updates on Victor Osimhen, Viktor Gyokeres and Bryan Mbeumo.
Gyokeres snubs Man Utd

Viktor Gyokeres has formally informed Man Utd that he will not be joining them this summer despite the Red Devils' repeated attempts to woo him in recent days.
The Swede is prioritising a move to Arsenal this summer, although it remains to be seen if he will get his wish as the Gunners are pushing for the signing of Benjamin Sesko.
Man Utd will have to focus on different targets now as their search for a new No.9 becomes increasingly challenging.
Man Utd reignite Osimhen talks

The lack of progress over a potential deal for Gyokeres has seen Man Utd resume talks with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in recent days. However, the Nigerian is still unwilling to lower his €12 million-per-season salary demands.
This means that a deal for the 26-year-old remains virtually impossible from Man Utd's point of view, which is becoming a real problem for Napoli. The Serie A champions were blindsided by his decision to turn down Al-Hilal and fear a repeat of last year's lengthy saga.
Galatasaray are pushing hard to sign Osimhen, but they need to convince Napoli to lower their asking price. The Turkish Super Lig has a spending cap, so Gala would be foolish to spend €75m on one player.
Man Utd hold positive Ekitike talks

Man Utd's talks with the camp of Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike have become 'more concrete' over the past two days, but like Osimhen, he will be incredibly expensive.
Frankfurt are not budging from their €100m asking price, so a deal is challenging for the Red Devils. Talks with the player, who is a boyhood Man Utd fan, have been positive, though.
Chelsea and Liverpool are also in the race for the Frenchman, but the Blues have already made it clear that they won't spend €100m on him.
Man Utd threaten to walk away from Mbeumo

Man Utd are determined not to overpay for their targets this summer, with every potential incoming given an internal valuation that will not be exceeded.
This means that the Red Devils will simply walk away from deals, even for their top targets, if they feel they are being subjected to the infamous 'Man Utd tax.'
This new stance could influence whether or not Bryan Mbeumo gets his desired move to Old Trafford as Man Utd are reluctant to match Brentford's hefty demands for the winger.
Man Utd versus Ten Hag for Kluivert

Should Man Utd indeed give up on Mbeumo, they could pursue Bournemouth star Justin Kluivert as an alternative target instead, with the player reportedly valued at €55m.
However, the Dutchman is also being targeted by former Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag as a potential replacement for Florian Wirtz at Bayer Leverkusen.
It remains to be seen if Bournemouth are willing to do business as they are already in the process of losing a host of key players, so they would be loath to sell Kluivert as well.
