Tuchel tells ‘UNIQUE’ England star to make a move

England head coach Thomas Tuchel has made it clear that he will not pick players who are not playing regularly for their clubs and has told one frustrated star that he needs to make a move for the good of his international career.
With World Cup 2026 in North America just over a year away, players will be thinking about the possibility of participating in the tournament, with Manchester City star Jack Grealish no different.
As Tuchel seeks to continue his perfect start as England boss against Andorra in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday, he has made it abundantly clear that Grealish needs to leave Man City.
"My thoughts are still the same. I love Jack. I love his personality and, of course, his talent. He is a very unique player who can handle big pressure on the field. He's never shy of pressure,” Tuchel said of Grealish.
"And the opposite - I think he grows in big matches. But he is a player that needs minutes, minutes and minutes. And he simply does not get them since a very, very long time. Nothing has changed.
"I have maybe the same information than you, that City is even thinking not to take him to the Club World Cup. So he needs to make himself available by playing.
"Because I think this is one of his key strengths, to go every three days and to get better and better and better with every minute that he has in his legs. And that's just missing, nothing else."

Grealish on the move: Rumours of Aston Villa return
Grealish is likely to make a switch this summer, with a return to Aston Villa having emerged as a possibility for the flair-packed winger who struggled to shine under Guardiola.
The Birmingham club’s financial position with regards the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) means that they are likely to be restricted in terms of their paying power.
Man City, meanwhile, are looking for around €47.5m for Grealish – less than half of the €117.5m they paid Villa for the player in 2021.
