Chelsea Transfer News Today: Deal close as Gittens bid made

All the latest Chelsea transfer news in one place, including updates on Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Chelsea make Gittens bid

Chelsea have presented their opening offer for Jamie Gittens to Borussia Dortmund. The bid is believed to have clocked in at just over €35 million, but no club-to-club agreement has been reached.
On the player's side, there have been no issues. Gittens has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea and will sign a seven-year contract if the two clubs can thrash out a deal.
Chelsea will try to sign the England youth international before Tuesday's Club World Cup deadline, but they will continue talks should they fail to do so. They could still register him for the knockouts at a later date.
Arsenal close in on Kepa deal

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is set to end his ill-fated seven-year stint at Stamford Bridge this summer. Arsenal are closing in on a permanent transfer for the goalkeeper after positive talks in recent days.
The Spaniard has a €6m release clause that was inserted into his deal prior to last season's loan move to Bournemouth. The Cherries were keen to keep him, but Arsenal appear to have won the race.
The 30-year-old will offer competition for David Raya at Arsenal, who have had to seek out alternatives after missing out on Joan Garcia to Barcelona.
Chelsea make Fermin offer

Speaking of Barcelona, reports in Spain claim that Chelsea are seriously interested in Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez. Some claim that a €75m bid could be made, while others speak of a swap offer.
It is asserted that Chelsea have asked whether Barcelona would be open to trading Fermin for wantaway forward Christopher Nkunku. However, Barcelona rejected the approach out of hand.
The Blaugrana have no intention of selling the 22-year-old this summer and will not engage in discussions unless the player agitates for a move away.
Three Premier League clubs in for Garnacho

Chelsea are prioritising a move for Gittens, but the Blues have retained their interest in Alejandro Garnacho. According to Fabrizio Romano, three Premier League clubs are currently 'pushing' to sign the Man Utd outcast.
The transfer insider claims that Garnacho's departure this summer is already set in stone after Ruben Amorim bluntly told him to find a new club, although Chelsea will likely not pursue a move for him if they manage to get their hands on Gittens.
Romano did not name a price for Garnacho, but he expects the Argentine to be too expensive for Bayer Leverkusen, who are interested in the winger following the appointment of Erik ten Hag.
