Arsenal Transfer News Today: Williams BOOST amid Gyokeres confidence

All the latest Arsenal transfer news in one place, including updates on Nico Williams, Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko.
Arsenal ready to break the bank for Williams

Arsenal are willing to offer Nico Williams a €9 million net salary, according to reports in Spain. This is more than what Barcelona will be able to pay the 22-year-old.
FootballTransfers already reported in March that Arsenal are willing to better any offers that come in for Williams in a bid to land him this summer. This remains the case, but the problem is that the winger is seemingly reluctant to leave Spain.
Indeed, the La Roja superstar is prioritising a move to Barcelona if he is to leave boyhood side Athletic Club this summer. The fact that Arsenal are willing to match his financial demands could work in their favour, though, should Barcelona be unable to sign him.
Gyokeres confident of Premier League move

Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres is confident that he will get his dream move to the Premier League this summer. The Sweden international is prioritising a transfer to Arsenal, but the Gunners have yet to make a final decision on which striker to sign.
Arsenal remain simultaneously in talks with RB Leipzig for Benjamin Sesko, and Mikel Arteta is thought to favour the Slovenian. This could jeopardise Gyokeres' chances of getting his preferred move, with the player having already informed Man Utd that he isn't keen on them.
Gyokeres also has suitors in Spain and Italy, but he wants another shot at the Premier League after previously struggling to make his mark at Brighton.
Sporting jack up Gyokeres price
While Gyokeres continues to push for a move to the Premier League, his dispute with Sporting CP is seemingly devolving into a veritable slugfest, with neither side refusing to budge from their position.
The player's camp continues to insist that Sporting assured him that they would sell him for €70m this summer, while the club dispute ever having made such a promise.
It is now being claimed that Sporting could even go so far as to only let Gyokeres leave if his €100m release clause is triggered, which would surely end the 27-year-old's chances of joining a European club.
Sesko signing under threat?

Arsenal are planning to leave the talks with RB Leipzig for Benjamin Sesko should no agreement be struck in the near future. The Gunners are unwilling to wait all summer before finally securing their new striker.
There are concerns that Leipzig are demanding too much for the Slovenian, and this is thought to have slowed down the progress of the talks between the two clubs.
Arsenal are also considering other options besides Sesko and Gyokeres, with Aston Villa hitman Ollie Watkins again being associated with the North London club.
Saudi interest in Rodrygo

Saudi giants Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal are both interested in Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, whose future remains uncertain. The Brazilian has also been heavily linked with Arsenal in recent weeks.
The Saudi Pro League teams are said to be willing to pay as much as €130m to sign the winger, which is a fee Arsenal will not match. It is, however, doubtful whether Rodrygo would be keen on the move to the Middle East.
In fact, it remains unclear what the future will hold for the Brazil international. Rodrygo is generally happy to stay at Real Madrid, but a transfer could become a topic of discussion should Xabi Alonso fail to give him assurances of regular game time.
