Fabrizio Romano CONFIRMS €65m Viktor Gyokeres transfer

Sporting CP centre forward Viktor Gyokeres will reportedly leave the club for a fee of €65 million during the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Sweden international has been heavily linked with a number of top clubs across Europe and FootballTransfers understands that Arsenal are pushing to finalise an agreement to sign the 26-year-old before the start of the 2025-26 campaign.
Gyokeres has overtaken RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko as Arsenal’s priority summer target since the appointment of Andrea Berta as the Gunners’ new sporting director earlier this year, and fresh talks have been scheduled to take place after the Portuguese cup final on 25 May.
Gyokeres helped Sporting claim their second consecutive Liga Portugal title on Saturday and he insisted that a summer exit is not guaranteed to take place, despite heavy rumours.
“It’s football, I’m still here,” the 26-year-old told Sport TV (via Metro) after the game. “I don’t know what’s going to happen. Nobody can predict the future.”
However, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Gyokeres will leave Sporting this summer.
The transfer expert posted on X: “Despite public statements, Viktor Gyokeres will surely leave Sporting this summer with a fee already agreed.
“Package worth around €65m can be enough to get [the] green light from Sporting as agreed with Gyokeres months ago. Discussions with top European clubs continue.”

Viktor Gyokeres to leave Sporting CP for Arsenal?
The Sweden international has scored 96 goals in 101 appearances since his move from Coventry City to Sporting CP in 2023, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at a career high of €75m.
