Bruno Fernandes ‘deal expected’ as Man Utd scenario never seen before unfolds

Bruno Fernandes could play his final Manchester United match on Sunday when the Red Devils tackle Aston Villa in the Premier League as transfer interest from the Saudi Pro League steps up.
The Portugal international admitted he could leave the Red Devils in the summer following the 1-0 Europa League final loss to Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.
Rumours that he could sign for Al-Hilal are stepping up, with Sacha Tavolieri reporting that there is only a small gap between Bruno’s expectations and the deal presently being offered to him by the Saudi side.
Taking to X, the Sky Sport Switzerland journalist reports: “More updates on Bruno Fernandes’s deal to Al Hilal Football Club.
“The Portuguese midfielder’s now awaiting for an improved offer! That’s what his representatives communicated to the Saudi club this week.
“Bruno Fernandes is open to join Al Hilal before the Club World Cup as sources confirmed that the gap between the current bid and Fernandes’ expectations are not that big, with a deal expected to be watched closely in the next days…”

Man Utd ready to take drastic action
United could be open to selling Bruno because he is one of their most marketable assets. A significant influx of funds is required to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) while also signing new players.
Other significant players are expected to depart, with Kobbie Mainoo widely expected to leave while the prospect of Alejandro Garnacho hanging around look slim after his brother launched a social media assault on Amorim following the Spurs loss.
Bruno Fernandes, though, has been Man Utd’s talisman and captain this season. A sale of such a central figure to the team would be the surest sign yet that the Red Devils are about to embark on the type of transition period that has never been seen before in the modern history of the club.
