Man Utd have already made decision over €85m signing

Manchester United already have at least one plan formulated ahead of the summer transfer window, with the future of Jadon Sancho decided.
Sancho seemed to have left Old Trafford permanently when he joined Chelsea on loan last summer. The winger has disappointed at Stamford Bridge to such a degree that the Blues are willing to pay €6 million to United to send him back to Man Utd.
This poses a headache for head coach Ruben Amorim, who has been planning without the 25-year-old in his mind. So what’s the plan?
Man Utd to sell Sancho
Sancho will be sold by Man Utd this summer – or at least that’s the club’s intention, according to football transfer news expert Ben Jacobs.
“Manchester United want to sell Jadon Sancho even if he returns to Old Trafford,” he reports.
“Chelsea have an obligation to buy of up to £25m [€30m], but can also send back Sancho for a £5m penalty.
“MUFC expect Sancho to leave even if Chelsea decide not to keep him.”

Finding a buyer for Sancho could prove complicated, although FootballTransfers previously revealed that Wolverhampton Wanderers could make an ambitious bid for the winger, whose high wage demands are as much as an issue as any transfer fee when it comes to moving him on.
Certainly, the prospect of the former Borussia Dortmund star finding a top-level club willing to take a risk on him appears to be slim.
And this is despite the fact that Sancho could prove to be one of the bargains of the summer. United are willing to cut him loose for €30m – perhaps even less – while he has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €37.7m. The Red Devils are resigned to taking a huge loss on him after signing him for €85m.
Man Utd need to make sales in order to strengthen Amorim’s squad, and with Sancho’s exit already accounted for, his departure seems inevitable.
