The 21 football players worth more than €100m

There are currently 21 footballers in the world with an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of over €100 million.

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is currently the most valuable player in the sport with an ETV of €198.8m, according to FootballTransfers' in-house Estimated Transfer Value algorithm.

The Norwegian goal-machine's ETV has risen massively since joining Man City, and it continues on an upward trajectory due to his prolific scoring, but also because he recently signed a record-breaking contract extension that ties him to the club until 2034.

Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal clocks in at number two on this list with an ETV of €173.2m. Despite being just 17 years of age, Yamal is already among the best players in the world, and he is likely to run Haaland close when he signs a new contract on his 18th birthday.

Yamal's teammate Pedri has managed to climb into third recently as he is enjoying the season of his life with Barcelona. The Euro 2024 winner currently boasts an ETV of €144.6m, which has seen him overtake Real Madrid attacker Kylian Mbappe, once the most valuable player in the world.

Bayern Munich superstar Jamal Musiala sits fifth with an ETV of €139.8m after signing a lucrative new long-term contract with the Bundesliga giants.

The footballers worth more than €100m: The full list

Midfielders Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid) and Martin Odegaard (Arsenal) are hot on the heels of Musiala, while Pau Cubarsi (Barcelona), Alexander Isak (Newcastle) and Vinicius Jr (Real Madrid) complete the top ten.

The Premier League currently boasts eight players with an ETV of €100m or more. However, the league with the most €100m players is actually LaLiga with nine. Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez (€104.7m) is the only non-Barcelona or Real Madrid LaLiga player to crack the €100m.

Lautaro Martinez of Inter is the only Serie A player who features in this illustrious list. Ligue 1 does not have a single player worth more than €100m. 19-year-old PSG wonderkid Desire Doue is the French league's most valuable player with an ETV of €76.5m.

The club with the most €100m players is Real Madrid with five, closely followed by Clasico rivals Barcelona with four. Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, the English team with the most players (three) is neither Liverpool nor Man City but Arsenal.
