Jorrel Hato latest

Chelsea have reportedly identified Ajax defender Jorrel Hato as their new priority centre-back target following confirmation of Dean Huijsen’s move to Real Madrid.

Bournemouth have officially announced that Huijsen will join Real Madrid in July after the Spanish giants agreed to trigger his €59.5 million (£50m) release clause, and Chelsea have now turned their attention to finalising a deal for Hato.

That is according to TEAMtalk, who claim that Chelsea are locked in internal discussions over a possible deal for the Netherlands international, whose asking price stands at roughly €50m.

Eberechi Eze wanted

Chelsea are set to battle Manchester City for Eberechi Eze’s signature this summer as the Blues look to bolster their forward options.

Eze has two years remaining on his current contract at Crystal Palace, but a summer exit is on the cards amid significant interest from Chelsea and Man City, as per Fichajes.

Both clubs are eager to trigger his release clause, although it remains to be seen if Eze will opt to sign a new deal at Selhurst Park after helping them achieve Europa League qualification thanks to their FA Cup triumph on Saturday.

Morgan Rogers makes transfer decision

Morgan Rogers has reportedly decided to snub interest from a host of top Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, in order to extend his stay at Aston Villa.

The England international has emerged as a key target for Chelsea in recent weeks, with the Blues eager to battle the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United for his signature.

However, Rogers is currently eager to continue at Villa, according to TBR Football, largely due to the fact he wants to ensure his game time doesn’t diminish ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Chelsea Women message

Chelsea Women co-owner Alexis Ohanian has issued a mega statement after purchasing a stake worth around €24m in the west London side.

Ohanian, who founded Reddit and is married to tennis legend Serena Williams, told BBC Sport: “Chelsea is very unique. These are the queens of global soccer, and they've got the trophy case to prove it. This is a very special club.

“The sky is the limit,” continued Ohanian. “You heard our president say this club is unapologetically ambitious - I want to get that tattooed on me.

“That is what we're trying to build here - the best team in the world and at the forefront of women's sport.

“This will be a billion-dollar franchise one day. I hope my dollars, my pounds, can go towards that and especially back home in America. This is going to be America's team.”
