Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace)

Chelsea are set to sign a new centre-back this summer, amid the uncertain futures of Axel Disasi, Trevoh Chalobah and Renato Veiga, and they have identified Marc Guehi as a key target.

The England international spent 14 years at Chelsea before his move to Crystal Palace in 2021, and the Blues are now eager to bring him back to west London.

Despite signing Mamadou Sarr from sister club Strrasbourg, Chelsea want to add a marquee centre-back after missing out on Dean Huijsen.

Nico Williams (Athletic Club)

Chelsea are determined to sign a right-footed winger during the 2025 summer transfer window, and Athletic Club’s Nico Williams is on their radar as a result.

The Spaniard is wanted by Arsenal, Bayern and Barcelona, but Chelsea are also keen to sign him as Maresca looks to land a replacement for Mykhailo Mudryk.

Williams looks determined to leave Athletic Club this summer as he is holding talks with all of his suitors.

Jamie Gittens (Dortmund)

Despite a long-standing interest in Williams, he does not appear to be Chelsea's top winger target this summer. Instead, the Blues are prioritising a move for Jamie Gittens.

Talks were held in the first summer window, but despite a late Deadline Day transfer summit, Chelsea could not agree a fee with Dortmund, who are reportedly demanding €65m.

Chelsea were only prepared to offer a little over €50m and the deal collapsed. However, they are expected to try again in the proper summer window.

Hugo Ekitike (Frankfurt)

Liam Delap has joined Chelsea in a €35m deal, but the Blues still want to add another striker despite insisting that they trust Nicolas Jackson.

The Blues have taken a liking to Frankfurt hitman Hugo Ekitike, and concrete talks have taken place.

So far, Chelsea are baulking at the Bundesliga side's whopping €100m asking price.

Victor Osimhen (Napoli - on loan at Galatasaray)

In addition to Ekitike, Chelsea are also continuously linked with a move for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian was on the verge of moving to Stamford Bridge last summer, but the deal fell through, and he was forced to move to Turkey on loan after being frozen out by Napoli boss Antonio Conte.

Chelsea’s interest in Osimhen had seemingly died down in early 2025, however, with the desire to add No.9 still present, the 26-year-old is a name under consideration.
