But the Foxes could be forced to sell star player Dewsbury-Hall this summer, according to journalist Ben Jacobs, who spoke to GiveMeSport.

Leicester reported a pre-tax loss of £89.7 million for the 2022/23 season, which means they may have to sell players to abide by PSR rules on their return to the Premier League.

Dewsbury-Hall, who has been linked to Manchester United and Arsenal, recently spoke on record about his desire to remain with the Midlands club, having been with the side since he joined their academy in 2006 at the age of eight.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall may have to leave

But Jacobs has said that the midfielder may have to leave the club. He said: "I don't think the Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall links have overshadowed Leicester's promotion. It's a fantastic achievement. And it was important for Leicester to come up the first time of asking, but we know now that they fall under the jurisdiction of the Premier League, and they could be in a difficult financial position.

He continued: "So Leicester are going to have to sell despite coming up to the Premier League, and they might have to still sell relatively fast. And this is where Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - a pure-profit player as it's known - is maybe somebody that the club feel at the right number they have to sacrifice even though the player has said publicly that he's got no intention of leaving."

Brighton and Brentford are believed to be two other potential suitors believed to admire the player - meanwhile, Tottenham and Arsenal have also reportedly joined the race.
