The 21-year-old’s priority is to remain at Athletic, who have already qualified for Europe after winning the Copa del Rey. They are also only two points outside the Champions League places.

But if he were to leave Athletic he wants to move to another La Liga club with Barcelona potentially making a bid. Williams is said to be open to a move to Barca.

This news comes as a blow to Chelsea, who had reportedly made Williams their top winger target this summer.
