Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho will be allowed to leave Old Trafford for around €46million - €58.55m, according to reports.

According to CaughtOffside, the winger is already wanted by Dortmund bosses permanently, after agreeing to an initial loan deal in the January transfer window.

Dortmund bosses are therefore relying on Sancho to put the Premier League giants under pressure to seal a move to Germany in the summer. There is a confidence that Dortmund could push the asking price down. The loan fee was agreed at €3-4m, including his salary.

But an issue is the wages down the line - Sancho could only earn a maximum of €10m gross at Dortmund, while at Man Utd he earns twice as much.

Why did Jadon Sancho return to Dortmund?

Sancho suggested the chance to return to Dortmund was too good an opportunity to ignore, which is why he opted to make a return to Signal Iduna Park.

Sancho had not played a single minute of football for Man Utd since August - he was left out of the squad for the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal the following weekend, with Erik ten Hag criticising his performance levels in training. The 23-year-old took to social media to hit back at the United boss and accused of him lying. Ten Hag wanted an apology but Sancho refused, so he was shipped out on loan.

"I made my debut in professional football here. It has always been a dream for me, so I'm happy to be back, “ he told Dortmund’s official site.

"I believe, personally, it is due to the fact I can reconnect with the fans. Obviously, there is Edin [Terzic] (head coach) and Sebastian [Kehl] (director of football). There is also obviously Marco [Reus] and a few other players, so I feel like it was the right decision.”
