Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has made it clear what his plans are for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher and Bournemouth forward Dominic Solanke as the January transfer window draws to a close.

Spurs have been persistently linked with a move for Gallagher, who despite playing regularly for the Blues this season could potentially depart to ease their Financial Fair Play (FFP) concerns.

The energy that the 23-year-old brings to games is something that Tottenham could benefit from late in the season, but Postecoglou has indicated that the side fifth in the Premier League table currently will not make any late additions to their squad.

“More business is unlikely. I don't see any incomings,” he told the media.

“Outgoings are a little bit different because I'm not as engaged in that. Others are dealing with that but I'd say that's also unlikely.”

This also rules out the prospect of Spurs making a late transfer move for in-form Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke, who is enjoying the best season of his career to date, having netted 12 times for the Cherries in the Premier League.

Tottenham have been linked with a £50 million (€59m) bid for the striker, but that does not appear to be on the cards.

Gallagher to Tottenham: Romano reveals the truth

Fabrizio Romano has lifted the lid on the Gallagher story and says that there has never been anything in the rumours linking the Chelsea midfielder to Tottenham this month.

Taking to X, the football transfer news expert stated: “Even if we had rumours at the end of December about negotiations between Chelsea and Tottenham for Gallagher, from what I heard, the last contact between the two clubs was in August 2023, when Tottenham tried to make it happen in the final days of the summer window. The two clubs have never spoken again about Gallagher.”

Gallagher is not the only Chelsea academy product primed to spend the rest of the season with the club, as Armando Broja has had a loan offer from Wolves knocked back.
