Chelsea are willing to cash in on Armando Broja this month, according to David Ornstein.

The Blues' January transfer window has thus far been mainly focused on outgoings and that trend is set to continue, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic. The journalist reports that Chelsea are willing to entertain offers for Albanian striker Armando Broja despite their shortage of options in that department.

Ornstein has confirmed FootballTransfers' reporting from December that West Ham are among the clubs interested in signing the 22-year-old. He has also mentioned Fulham and Wolves as potential destinations.

Intriguingly, Broja's potential departure will not be contingent on a replacement being signed despite the continuous links to high-profile number nines such as Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres, the latter of whom is not a target for the Blues this month.

Despite Nicolas Jackson currently being at the Africa Cup of Nations, Chelsea do not feel it is imperative to bring in an attacking reinforcement. Christopher Nkunku's latest injury is not serious and he will be available again shortly.

Broja's time at Chelsea

Broja is the latest Cobham graduate that Chelsea are willing to cash in on, with many fans fearing that the first team's connection to the club's famous academy is eroding under Todd Boehly. Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah are also for sale, while Mason Mount and Ian Maatsen have already been offloaded.

Admittedly, the young striker has not had an easy time of in Chelsea's senior squad, only returning late last year from a horrific ACL injury and failing to deliver when given opportunities this term.

To date, Broja has only made 36 senior appearances for the Blues, two fewer than he made during a one-season loan at Southampton in 2021/22. In those 36 outings, he has notched three goals and two assists.
