Serge Gnabry will be available in 2024 for €55 million, according to a report.

The Bayern Munich star has fallen out of favour after a poor start to the season and the German giants are ready to offload the 28-year-old in 2024. His replacement has already been signed, with talented Spaniard Bryan Zaragoza joining from Granada for just €13 million next summer.

Gnabry is currently nursing an injury and that has likely contributed to Bayern's decision to make him available as he isn't getting any younger. The right-winger's unimpressive showings prior to his spell on the sidelines and his hefty wages of €19m-a-year make him a prime candidate to depart and flush funds into the Bavarian's coffers that will be needed for another spending spree.

After shelling out €150m on Harry Kane and Kim Min-jae in the summer, the perennial Bundesliga champions are again plotting some ambitious deals, with Barcelona star Ronald Araujo topping their shortlist. Though a deal appears unlikely, the German side have made it clear that they are prepared to pay whatever it takes to land the Uruguayan.

Gnabry to Man Utd?

Gnabry's availability could pique the attention of Man Utd's recruitment department. The German has been tentatively linked with a switch to Old Trafford in recent months because of Antony's awful form and Jadon Sancho being exiled by Erik ten Hag.

According to BILD journalist Christian Falk, it will require a fee of €55m to sign Gnabry, which could prove a stumbling block given his age and the fact that he has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €40m. "It’s a lot of money for a player who is, at the moment, injured and wasn’t in great form prior," Falk told CaughtOffside.

It might be a worthwhile gamble for United, however, given that even an out-of-form Gnabry would be an upgrade on Antony at this point. The Red Devils are already out of the Champions League and the Carabao Cup, so any firepower they can get their hands on in January could help them challenge to at least get back into Europe via the Premier League.
