Alejandro Garnacho's words to Rasmus Hojlund after Manchester United's win over Aston Villa on Tuesday proved that the team are together.

There had been many suggestions that Erik ten Hag's side were not on the same page in recent weeks.

Having been beaten by Newcastle, Bournemouth and West Ham in the Premier League in December, the Dutchman's job was at serious risk.

No to mention, the Red Devils also lost to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, knocking them out of the competition.

However, a superb second-half comeback against Villa showed the world that the players are behind the manager.

United went 2-0 down to Unai Emery's side in embarrassing fashion, before a Garnacho brace, followed by Hojlund's first goal for the club, completed the turnaround.

The victory sees United enter the top six in the league table, leapfrogging West Ham and Newcastle.

Garnacho's words to Hojlund

In their post-match interview with Amazon Prime Video, Garnacho showed love to his Danish teammate.

"Thank you brother, I love you," he said to Hojlund, as he was handed the Man of the Match award.

It will be a huge sigh of relief for Hojlund to finally get off the mark at Old Trafford, while Garnacho put in a fantastic performance when his team needed him most.

The Argentine's two finishes could be the catalyst for United to finish in the Champions League places, and for Ten Hag to keep his job at the end of the season.
