Roony Bardghji will be available in January, according to a report.

The Swedish wonderkid, long since considered one of Europe's biggest prospects, has fully burst onto the scene this term and put his name on the map. Despite only recently turning 18, Bardghji is FC Copenhagen's top scorer this season and he starred in the Champions League when he scored the winner as his side beat Man Utd in Denmark's capital.

His performances, particularly this season, have attracted the attention of some of Europe's biggest hitters. Moreover, the youngster is out of contract in the winter of 2025 and seems ready for a move, putting Copenhagen in a tricky position. With no contract extension forthcoming, the Danish giants will have to cash in on him sooner rather than later.

Indeed, according to 90min, Copenhagen are willing to allow Bardghji to depart Denmark in the upcoming January transfer window.

Bardghji to move in 2024

The report asserts that the winger could be on the move in the winter with Chelsea ready to beat the competition to his signature. The Blues are long-term admirers of the Swede and have made it their mission to recruit the biggest and brightest young talents in the world.

The plan would be to snap up Bardghji in January but to let him remain with Copenhagen until the summer. However, the Blues will face competition from all corners of Europe in the battle to land the wonderkid.

The likes of Aston Villa, Man Utd, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus, Napoli and many more all hold an interest in the 18-year-old. Bardghji currently boasts an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €21 million, but the exact fee it will require to prise him away from the Danish capital is not yet known.

It is expected that Bardghji will become Copenhagen's most expensive sale, however, breaking the record set by Hakon Arnar Haraldsson, who joined Lille for €15m in the summer.
