Alphonso Davies is set to snub the Premier League's biggest hitters in favour of Real Madrid, according to a report.

Rumours linking the Canadian superstar with a move to Spain's capital are proliferating rapidly as his contract talks with Bayern Munich remain deadlocked. Many view Davies as one of Real Madrid's summer priorities, along with the free transfer signing of Kylian Mbappe, because the left-back position has been an area of concern since the legendary Marcelo departed.

Moreover, with Davies out of contract in 2025, next summer will be Bayern's final chance to cash in on the 23-year-old should they fail to agree terms on a new deal with him. Yet, it is only natural that Real Madrid aren't the lone admirers of the Canadian.

On the contrary, Davies is arguably the best left-back in the world - and has been for some time - so of course many of Europe's biggest clubs are keeping a close eye on his contract situation at Bayern.

Premier League snubbed

Among his suitors are, according to 90min, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City. On the continent, meanwhile, PSG are also keen on securing the 23-year-old's signature. But all of these elite clubs are set to be snubbed by Davies, asserts the report.

It is thought that the left-back has "his heart set" on a move to Real Madrid and all of his admirers have resigned themselves to the fact that he will head to the Santiago Bernabeu eventually, even Bayern have supposedly accepted the fact that he is on his way to Spain.

Publicly, though, the Bavarians have been quite open about their desire to keep Davies, while his agent has dismissed speculation surrounding a move to Madrid. Sporting director Christoph Freund recently told BILD that the Bavarians' plan was to tie him down long-term as he gives the club "something special" after "developing immensely."
