Mykhailo Mudryk receives Chelsea demand from former star

Shaun Wright-Phillips has urged Mykhailo Mudryk to build on his recent goal-scoring exploits and become a mainstay in Chelsea’s starting XI.
The Ukraine international scored his first Blues goal in their 2-0 win over Fulham on October 2 before netting once again in his next start for the club - the 2-2 draw against Arsenal.

However, he missed the defeat versus Brentford due to injury, with Raheem Sterling switching from the right flank to the left in Mudryk’s absence.
The Ukranian’s start to life at Chelsea has been stop-start to say the least, in part due to injury, and Wright-Phillips believes he now needs to play regularly and show consistency on the pitch.

What has been said about Mudryk?
Wright-Phillips told The Express: “I think he is heading in the right direction, those two goals will help him massively and people might say the one against Arsenal was lucky - so what?
“It’s in the back of the net. For his confidence, that will do him the world of good and playing at Stamford Bridge in a team that isn’t doing well, isn’t easy.”
The former Man City, Chelsea and QPR winger then revealed that Mudryk must perform on a regular basis if he’s to become a success at Stamford Bridge.
“He is learning that now and in some ways it is good that it is happening now rather than later.
“Because he knows what it takes now and he has got to stay at that level consistently. The fans will demand it and so will the manager.
"One thing you can’t do is not run around and make a nuisance for yourself and not fight for the club. He seems to be doing all those things so I think he will get better.”
Mudryk has made eight Premier League appearances this campaign and has scored two goals during that time. He is yet to pick up an assist in 2023-24.
